What BrandRank does, stated exactly
Three things, all of which run today:
- The 20-element on-page audit. One bounded, robots-respecting fetch of your page, scored against 20 elements (titles, meta, H1, internal links, alt text, FAQ copy and FAQ schema, Organization / Service / LocalBusiness / Breadcrumb JSON-LD, author bios, reviews, case studies, related content, CTAs, blog depth). It fails closed: a page we cannot read returns no score at all rather than a guess.
- Copy-paste fixes. Each miss returns the literal markup to paste — on the run below, 8 of the 8 misses came back with one.
- AI-crawler attribution. A 1×1 beacon (or your access logs) attributes every AI-bot fetch of your site to the company behind it, across 23 known crawler user-agents (GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User, ClaudeBot, Claude-Web, anthropic-ai and more). If an engine never crawls you, it can never cite you.
Paid plans additionally re-run the audit on a schedule and email you the diff.
What BrandRank does not do
Stated here because this page used to claim otherwise, and the claim was not true:
- We do not query ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini or Google AI Overviews and count your brand mentions. No prompt-level mention rate, no rank-in-answer, no “which competitor got cited instead of you”. That is a different product and we do not ship it today.
- We do not guarantee a visibility outcome. Answer engines are third-party systems we do not control.
- We have no customers to quote yet, so there are no testimonials, ratings or case studies on this page. When there are, they will be named and consented.

Yes. The 20-element audit runs once per submitted domain with no account and no card. You get the pass/miss table and the copy-paste fixes by email.
Does BrandRank tell me if ChatGPT recommends my brand?
No. It tells you whether an answer engine can read, parse and attribute your page — the on-page prerequisites for being citable — and which AI crawlers actually fetched you. It does not run prompts against answer engines and count mentions.
