AnswerBeacon for agents
Remote MCP server (streamable HTTP, JSON responses) at https://brandrank.eliteaiempire.com/mcp, plus the REST API and an OpenAPI 3.1 spec at /openapi.json. Server card: /.well-known/mcp.json.
Quickstart (2 minutes)
1. Get a free key (no card): curl -s -X POST https://brandrank.eliteaiempire.com/v1/signup -H 'content-type: application/json' -d '{"email":"you@example.com"}'
2. Add the server to Claude Code:
claude mcp add --transport http answerbeacon https://brandrank.eliteaiempire.com/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_KEY"
3. Ask: "Audit example.com with answerbeacon and list the fixes."
Generic client config:
{"mcpServers": {"answerbeacon": {"url": "https://brandrank.eliteaiempire.com/mcp", "headers": {"Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_KEY"}}}}
Local stdio alternative (no key, runs on your machine): the open-source answerbeacon-check CLI starts a stdio MCP server with answerbeacon-check mcp (tools audit_page, explain_check).
Tools
Read tools are read-only. Write tools need the write scope and confirm: true; without it they refuse and describe what they would do.
| Tool | REST | Scope | confirm | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|---|
answerbeacon_audit_page | GET /v1/audit | read | no | Run the 20-element on-page AI-readiness audit on one public page |
answerbeacon_check_schema | GET /v1/audit/schema | read | no | Schema.org / JSON-LD subset of the audit |
answerbeacon_get_fixes | GET /v1/fixes | read | no | Copy-paste fixes for every missed check |
answerbeacon_visibility_snapshot | GET /v1/visibility | read | no | Instant AI-visibility snapshot (same as the free homepage audit) |
answerbeacon_explain_check | GET /v1/checks/{check_id} | read | no | Explain what one of the 20 checks looks for |
answerbeacon_list_alerts | GET /v1/alerts | read | no | List scheduled snapshot alerts on this account |
answerbeacon_create_alert | POST /v1/alerts | write | yes | Schedule a recurring snapshot email (requires confirm=true; paid plan) |
answerbeacon_open_fix_pr | POST /v1/fix-prs | write | yes | Open a pull request with the fixes on the connected repository (requires confirm=true; Agency plan) |
answerbeacon_get_usage | GET /v1/usage | read | no | Usage, quota and recent metering events for this account |
answerbeacon_export_data | GET /v1/export | read | no | Export every object held for this account (JSON or CSV) |
Authentication
Bearer API key on every request, including initialize; no key returns 401. Scopes: read, write, billing. Keys are hashed at rest; rotate or revoke with POST /v1/keys/{id}/rotate and DELETE /v1/keys/{id} (billing scope). Key management is not exposed as MCP tools.
Limits
60 requests per minute per key (headers X-RateLimit-*, Retry-After on 429). Accounts without a paid plan: 100 audit calls per month, then 402 quota_exceeded.
Prices
| Plan | Monthly | Annual | API and MCP calls |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | 100 audit calls per month |
| Starter | $49/mo | $490/yr | Included |
| Pro | $149/mo | $1490/yr | Included |
| Agency | $399/mo | $3990/yr | Included, plus fix pull requests |
Unit price per audit call: $0 (there is no metered price). Same numbers in x-pricing and on /pricing.
Example
curl -s https://brandrank.eliteaiempire.com/mcp -H "Authorization: Bearer $KEY" -H 'content-type: application/json' \
-d '{"jsonrpc":"2.0","id":1,"method":"tools/call","params":{"name":"answerbeacon_audit_page","arguments":{"url":"example.com"}}}'
Your data
answerbeacon_export_data returns everything held for your account; DELETE /v1/account?confirm=true removes it.
